Overview
If you are navigating to Configuration > Settings in your Swym Admin, you may notice that the Single Wishlist option is greyed out and marked as "Unavailable," while the Multi-Wishlist option is active.
This is not a bug. It is a strict safeguard designed to protect your shoppers' saved data and list organization.
Why is the Single Wishlist option locked?
When you upgrade your store to Multi-Wishlist, you fundamentally change the data structure of your shoppers' experience.
Single Wishlist (The Bucket): All items go into one default list. There is no organization.
Multi-Wishlist (The Folders): Shoppers create specific, named collections (e.g., "Living Room Ideas," "Christmas Gifts," "Summer Outfits").
The Irreversible Change Once a shopper creates a custom list (e.g., "Holiday Gifts"), that list becomes a distinct container for their items. If we were to allow you to revert to "Single Wishlist" mode, we would have to forcibly destroy that container. The shopper would lose their custom list name and the organization they spent time building. Their items would be dumped back into a single pile, creating a confusing and frustrating user experience.
To prevent this data degradation, the upgrade to Multi-Wishlist is a one-way switch.
Recall the Confirmation Step
This permanent change was highlighted when the feature was first enabled. The setup process required a specific confirmation action (typing "ENABLE") to acknowledge that the switch could not be undone.
Can I request a manual revert?
Because this involves the structural integrity of your customers' data, we do not support reverting to Single Wishlist mode. We strongly recommend utilizing the Multi-Wishlist feature to its full potential, as organized lists are proven to drive higher engagement and conversion rates than single lists.
