Updated over a month ago

Overview

The customer accounts will allow you to explore your customers’ wishlists to uncover their interests, personalise assistance, and boost sales, and the Wishlist Plus Reports Dashboard is your central hub for understanding how customers interact with your products. By analysing customers' interests, wishlist activity, sharing behaviours, and alert performance, you can make data-driven decisions to optimise inventory and marketing strategies.

This guide walks you through how to navigate the customer section and five core reports available in your dashboard:

  1. Products Report

  2. Wishlist Activity Report

  3. Shared Wishlists Report (New)

  4. Sent Alert Details Report (New)

  5. Purchases Report (New)

Accessing Your Customer section

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin

  2. Navigate to Apps > Wishlist Plus.

  3. On the left-hand sidebar, click on Customers.

Navigating the Customer Section

The Customer Tab is your hub for understanding shopper intent. It displays all customers with recent wishlist activity, allowing you to identify high-intent shoppers at a glance.

Key Features

  • Clicking on view details of the customers' wishlist will allow you to view all of a customer’s wishlists, along with their recent wishlist activity and product interests. This includes recently viewed items, products saved for later, and any orders they’ve placed.

Note: The Recent Activities, Interested Products, and Orders sections are available only for the first 30 days during the trial period and can be accessed only if you have a Support Staff license.

  • Adjustable Date Ranges: By default, you can view activity from the last 90 days to spot long-term trends or recent surges.

  • Booking a Demo: Need a guided tour of these features? Simply click the "Book a Demo" button located at the top of the page.

  • In-Depth Insights: Clicking on the "View All" at the bottom of the page. This view breaks down:

    1. Items currently on their wishlist.

    2. Products purchased from a wishlist.

    3. Un-purchased items that are ripe for a marketing follow-up.

Using the page above, you can better track individual preferences. This data allows you to segment your audience and target your email or SMS campaigns more accurately based on the specific products they’ve shown interest in.

    • Note: The system supports a maximum window of 60 days at a time.

  • Export: Click the Export button in the top right corner to download the current view as a CSV file for further analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Search & Filter: Use the search bar to find specific products (by name or SKU) or specific customer emails.

  • Refresh Data: If a report appears empty, click the Refresh Data button to load the latest events.

1. Products Report

Goal: Identify your most popular items and high-intent products.

This report gives you a product-level view of wishlist engagement. It helps you identify which products are being saved most often and which are driving revenue through alerts.

Key Data Columns:

  • Inventory: Current stock level.

  • Wishlist Actions: Total number of times this product was added to a wishlist.

  • Alerts Sent: Number of Back-in-Stock or Price Drop alerts triggered for this item.

  • Revenue: Total revenue generated directly attributed to wishlist interactions for this product.

2. Wishlist Activity Report

Goal: detailed tracking of individual shopper actions.

This report allows you to see exactly who is adding what. It is essential for building customer segments or identifying high-value prospects.

Key Data Columns:

  • User Email: The email address of the shopper (if logged in or captured).

  • Product Title & SKU: The specific item added.

  • List Name: Which list the item was saved to (e.g., "My Favorites", "Birthday List").

  • Created Date: When the action occurred.

3. Shared Wishlists Report

Goal: Track viral sharing and social proof.

When a customer shares their wishlist via email or social media, it expands your brand's reach. This report tracks those sharing events, allowing you to see which customers are your biggest advocates.

Key Data Columns:

  • User Email: The customer who shared the list.

  • List Name: The name of the wishlist shared.

  • Sharing Mode: The channel used (e.g., Email, Facebook, Twitter, Copy Link).

  • Created Date: When the share occurred.

4. Sent Alert Details Report

Goal: Measure the effectiveness of your re-engagement campaigns.

Wishlist Plus automatically sends alerts for "Price Drops," "Low Stock," and "Back in Stock" events. This report provides granular details on every alert sent, helping you audit delivery and engagement.

Key Data Columns:

  • Alert Type: The trigger for the notification (e.g., Price Drop, Back in Stock).

  • Channel: How the alert was sent (Email, SMS, Push).

  • Sent Date & Status: When it went out and if it was successfully delivered.

  • Clicked: A "Yes/No" indicator if the user engaged with the alert.

  • Purchases & Revenue: Did this specific alert lead to a sale?

5. Purchases Report

Goal: Attribute revenue directly to Wishlist usage.

This is your ROI center. The Purchases Report lists all transactions where the customer purchased an item that was previously in their wishlist, or purchased directly through a Wishlist Plus flow.

Key Data Columns:

  • Product Title & SKU: The item purchased.

  • Email/Phone Number: Customer contact info.

  • Order Value: The monetary value of the transaction.

  • Created Date: Date of purchase.
