You can export your wishlist shoppers and their product activity data to gain valuable insights into shopper behavior, improve engagement, and drive conversions using targeted marketing campaigns. This feature allows you to collect data that can be used for things like creating personalized emails or understanding which products are most popular.

When you navigate to the "Metrics" section, you'll find key insights into your wishlist activity. The following metrics are prominently displayed, each offering a unique look into shopper behavior:

  • Shoppers: This metric shows you who has interacted with the wishlist most frequently. To dive deeper, you can extract a detailed report on this to see specific shopper data.

  • Popular Products: This highlights the products that have been wishlisted by the most users. A detailed report can be generated to get a full breakdown of your most in-demand products.

  • Running out soon: This metric identifies products that are low in stock but have high wishlist demand, helping you prioritize inventory management.

The "Shoppers" detailed report, which you can download from the metrics section, provides a comprehensive look at your Shopper activity. The CSV file for this report includes the following columns:

Product Details:

  • Product Title: The name of the product.

  • VariantKey1, VariantValue1: The name and value of the first product variant (e.g., Color, Red).

  • VariantKey2, VariantValue2: The name and value of the second product variant (e.g., Size, Large).

  • VariantKey3, VariantValue3: The name and value of the third product variant.

  • ProductId: The unique ID of the product from your Shopify Admin.

  • VariantID: The unique ID of the specific product variant.

  • SKU: The product's Stock Keeping Unit.

  • PageURL: The direct URL of the product page.

Shopper and Wishlist Information:

  • UserEmail: The email address of the shopper.

  • ListName: The name of the wishlist where the item was added.

  • CreatedDate: The date and time the item was added to the wishlist.

The "Popular Products" detailed report, which you can download from the metrics section, provides a comprehensive look at your most wishlisted items. The CSV file for this report includes the following columns:

Product and Variant Details:

  • Product Title: The name of the product.

  • VariantKey1, VariantValue1: The name and value of the first product variant (e.g., Color, Red).

  • VariantKey2, VariantValue2: The name and value of the second product variant (e.g., Size, Large).

  • VariantKey3, VariantValue3: The name and value of the third product variant.

  • ProductId: The unique ID of the product from your Shopify Admin.

  • VariantID: The unique ID of the specific product variant.

  • SKU: The product's Stock Keeping Unit.

  • PageURL: The direct URL of the product page.

Performance Metrics:

  • SentAlerts: The number of restock or price drop alerts sent for this product.

  • WishlistActions: The total number of times this product was added to a wishlist.

  • Revenue: The total revenue generated from sales of this product.

  • Inventory: The current stock level of the product.

  • LastUpdateDate: The date of the last update to the product's data.

Using Your Exported Data: Use Cases and Examples

For the "Shoppers" Report This report is ideal for understanding customer behaviour and engagement.

  • Example Use Case: Targeted Email Campaign

    • You can sort the report by WishlistActions to identify your most engaged customers.

    • Export this list and use it to create a segmented email campaign.

    • You can send an exclusive offer or a "thank you" message to your most active wishlisters, encouraging them to convert their saved items into purchases.

How to get the Shoppers/Wishlist Activity Details report

1. To export the Wishlist Plus actions/app activity data, please navigate to your store's Shopify Admin.

2. Once you are on the Shopify Admin, please navigate to the apps section.

3. Search for/Select the Wishlist Plus app from the list.

4. Once on the Wishlist Admin, please navigate to the Insights section.

5. Under the insight section, please scroll down to locate the Metrics.

6. Under Metrics, click on the detailed report button below the Shoppers section.

7. Select the desired date range for which you wish to export the Wishlist activity data and click on the “Apply” button

8. And once done, please click on export. The file should be auto-downloaded. It takes a few moments, depending on the amount of data available for the given date range. Once downloaded, you may use it as per your needs.

9. The exported file will be in CSV format, which you can easily import into Google Sheets for deeper analysis. You can also sync it with other tools if you'd like to connect it to your workflows or reporting systems.

For the "Popular Products" Report

This report helps you understand product demand and manage your inventory and marketing efforts effectively.

Example Use Case: Flash Sale Planning & Inventory Management

  • Sort the report by WishlistActions to see which products are most popular.

  • Identify the top products with high demand but low Inventory (as indicated in the report).

  • You can use this data to plan a targeted flash sale on these popular items or notify your supplier to restock them, ensuring you don't miss out on potential sales.

How to get the Popular Products report

1. To export the Popular Products report, please navigate to your store's Shopify Admin.

2. Once you are on the Shopify Admin, please navigate to the apps section.

3. Search for/Select the Wishlist Plus app from the list.

4. Once on the Wishlist Admin, please navigate to the Insights section.

5. Under the insight section, please scroll down to locate the Metrics.

6. Under Metrics, click on the detailed report button below the Popular Products area.

7. Select the desired date range for which you wish to export the data and click on the “Apply” button. Once done, please click on export. The file should be auto-downloaded. It takes a few moments, depending on the amount of data available for the given date range. Once downloaded, you may use it as per your needs.

9. The exported file will be in CSV format, which you can easily import into Google Sheets for deeper analysis. You can also sync it with other tools if you'd like to connect it to your workflows or reporting systems.
