Shopper Segments Help Guide

You can use Swym’s Shopper Segments to run highly personalized, targeted campaigns to boost conversions and engagement.

Swym’s Shopper Segments are predesigned audience groups created using shoppers’ Wishlist and Save for Later activity. Once a segment is created and events are scheduled, the segment will be shown in the Recent Marketing Activity table in your dashboard.

To track the performance of your campaigns, you can monitor results in your connected ESP (Email/SMS Service Provider) like Klaviyo, Yotpo, Attentive, Omnisend, etc. We will soon be adding campaign analytics directly within each segment inside the Wishlist Plus app as well!

Shopper Segment Data Overview

Each shopper segment event shares high-level shopper and product data.

Important: All shopper segment events support multiple products in a single event.

Shopper Data:

  • Email address

  • Identification medium (email, phone, etc.)

  • Identifier value (actual email or phone number)

Product Data:

  • Product image URL

  • Product name/title

  • Product ID

  • Product SKU

  • Product category

  • Current price

  • Original price (for price drops)

  • Product URL

  • Quantity

  • Variant ID and variant details (size, color, etc.)

Note: Some of these data fields might vary depending on your integrated partner (e.g., Klaviyo, Yotpo, Attentive, Omnisend, and others).


Available Shopper Segments

1. Wishlist & Saved for Later Abandoners

Who: Shoppers who added products to their Wishlist or Saved for Later but haven’t purchased.

Availability:

  • Self-serve for Wishlist Plus (WLP) Paid Merchants with Klaviyo integration completed.

  • If Klaviyo is installed but not integrated with Swym, please integrate first before proceeding.

  • Contact support for integrations other than Klaviyo, and we can configure the segment for you.

Use Case: Remind shoppers about products they loved but forgot to purchase.

Body:

Looks like you saved some amazing finds! Don’t let them slip away.

  • Show 4–6 wishlisted products (images, title, price)

2. Products on Sale Segment

Who: Shoppers who wishlisted products that have now dropped in price within the last X days, based on your configured price drop threshold.

Availability:

  • Currently available only via Swym 1:1 Reach (Swym configures this for you).

  • Self-serve will be available soon. Contact Swym if you want early access.

Use Case: Encourage purchases by highlighting lower/drop in prices.

3. Low Stock Segment

Who: Shoppers who wishlisted products that are now low in stock (based on your configured inventory threshold).

Availability:

Use Case: Create urgency and drive quicker purchases.

Heads up, {{ first_name }}!
Only {{ stock_quantity }} units of {{ product_name }} left in stock. Don’t miss out!
*Include this for all applicable products

4. Back in Stock Segment

Who: Shoppers who wishlisted products that went out of stock but are now restocked.

Availability:

Use Case: Let eager shoppers know they can finally purchase.

{{ product_name }} you saved is finally back in stock. Snag it before it sells out again!

5. Wishlist FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)

Who: Products wishlisted by multiple shoppers X number of times in the last X days.

Availability:

  • Available only via 1:1 Reach.

  • Or reach out to Swym support to configure this for you.

Use Case: Promote social proof and urgency by highlighting popular products.
