Multi-Language Support

Wishlist Plus is localized and ready to go in several languages!

Wishlist Plus offers built-in support for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. If additional languages or more advanced translation customizations are required, users may need to make changes at the Shopify Admin level.

If you need to translate the UI into a language not on this list, or need to make changes to the existing text, you can use the multi-language support dashboard:

Navigate to Configurations page and click on “Multi Language Support” under the Settings section

  1. Select the desired language for translation.

  2. For new installations: Select the option titled Wishlist UI (beta).

  3. For older (legacy) installations: Remain on the tab titled Wishlist (Legacy).

  4. You can also change the text for the following sections:

    • Save Wishlist

    • Share Wishlist

    • Accept Marketing Popup

    • Smart-Save

    • Wishlist Nudge

    • SFL

    • Recently Viewed

Troubleshooting Translation Issues

  • Changes Not Reflecting: Ensure you are editing the correct language settings for the live theme or app.

  • Missing Strings: Verify that the translatable strings are available in the app’s language resources.

  • Previewing Updates: Always refresh your storefront after making changes to confirm they are applied.

Additional Translation Management

For translations that are not reflected correctly or require further customization, consider managing them through Shopify Admin. This includes updating page titles or correcting interface translations. Refer to the Shopify Admin settings for detailed adjustments.
