Scope of Integration
Capture user emails from Swym apps and add them to a specified Mailchimp subscriber list.
Send personalized trigger emails (back-in-stock, price drop, etc.) from your Mailchimp account.
How It Works?
Once connected, Swym automatically adds opted-in users to your chosen Mailchimp list. For transactional emails, Swym triggers events that are sent through your Mandrill account, allowing for customized branding and deliverability control.
Requirements
A Mailchimp account with Mandrill enabled for transactional emails.
API keys for both Mailchimp and Mandrill.
A Swym app (e.g., Wishlist Plus, Back in Stock Alerts) on a paid plan.
Starter Plan: Simple email-list integration.
Starter Plan or Higher: Sending triggered emails via Mandrill.
Configuration Steps
Navigate to your Swym app Dashboard from your Shopify/BigCommerce admin panel.
Go to the "Newsletter mailing list" section on the App Setup screen.
Select Mailchimp from the list of providers.
Click the link to "Connect with your Mailchimp account" and sign in.
Select the desired Mailchimp List from the dropdown menu to which new subscribers will be added.
To send transactional emails, enable Mandrill in your Mailchimp account (this is a paid add-on).
In the Swym Dashboard's Email sender configuration, choose Mandrill by Mailchimp from the dropdown.
Obtain your Mandrill API key from your Mandrill account.
Paste the Mandrill API key into the text box in the Swym Dashboard and click Save.
