Integrating Swym apps with PushOwl allows you to create automated personalized web push notifications for retargeting and engaging your customers. This guide walks you through the steps to successfully set up and use this integration.
Please refer to this guide for using the integration within PushOwl (by Brevo) dashboard for creating Email and SMS automations
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure the following:
Swym Wishlist Plus or Swym Back in Stock Alerts app on the Pro plan or higher
An active PushOwl account
A Shopify store on Basic, Advanced, Plus or Unlimited plan
Shopify Flow installed
Setup Overview:
Connecting Swym app(s) with PushOwl involves 3 steps:
Enable Shopify Flow on your Swym account
Select the Swym events you want to send to Shopify Flow
Create a Shopify Flow workflow to send PushOwl notifications
Step 1: Connect your Swym app to Shopify Flow
The integration with PushOwl uses Shopify Flow as an intermediary. Hence, you need to first connect Wishlist Plus with Shopify Flow. To do so, please reach out [email protected] and our team will enable Shopify Flow integration for your account.
Step 2: Subscribe to events you wish to send
Choose which Swym events (e.g., price drop, back in stock, low stock) should be sent to Shopify Flow. Without selecting events, no triggers will reach Shopify Flow.
To do this, head to the Marketing menu in the Wishlist Plus app and enable the required Automations.
Step 3: Create a Workflow on Shopify Flow linking Swym app with PushOwl
1. On your Shopify Admin, navigate to Shopify Flow and click on Create Workflow.
2. Start by selecting a Trigger that will kickstart this workflow. Swym apps provide multiple triggers for you to consume and build workflows on top of it. The supported triggers across Swym apps are present in the below table:
Swym Wishlist Plus App Triggers:
Triggers Name | When this is triggered |
Added to wishlist | Customer adds a product to his Wishlist |
Removed from wishlist | An item is removed from the user's Wishlist |
Price Drop | Product on a wishlist goes on sale |
Low Stock | Product on a wishlist is running low on stock |
Back in stock | Product on a wishlist is restocked |
Swym Back in Stock Alerts App Triggers:
Trigger Name | When this is triggered |
Back in Stock Subscription | Shopper subscribes to be notified when a product is back in stock |
Back in Stock | Product a shopper requested a back-in-stock alert for is restocked |
3. Add an Action node by clicking on Then.
Optionally, you can also add a Condition node that will allow you to build “If - Then - Else” conditional logic into your workflow.
4. From the apps list shown, select PushOwl and Brevo, and then pick the Send Push Notification Action.
5. Click on Add Variable against each input field to add a dynamic value to your push notification message. The metadata about the shopper and the wishlisted product available in the trigger can be used to make the push notification personalized to each shopper.
6. Once the Send Push Notification Action node has been configured, click on Turn on Workflow to activate your workflow.
That is all! Your integration between the Swym app and PushOwl is now complete! Whenever a selected Swym event occurs, shoppers will automatically receive your push notifications.
