Wishlist Reminder is one of several powerful automation triggers that Swym offers to help you re-engage high-intent shoppers. Along with Wishlist Reminder, Swym supports workflows for Save for Later, Price Drop, Back in Stock, Low Stock, and more—each designed to help you recover potentially lost conversions through timely, personalized communication.
Step 1: Connect Omnisend with Wishlist Plus
Go to your Integration tab in the Wishlist Plus app.
Locate the Omnisend block and click Connect.
You will be prompted to enter an API key from your Omnisend account.
To generate the API key, go to Omnisend API Keys
Click Create API Key, name it “Wishlist Plus,” and copy the key.
Paste this key into the integration setup in the Wishlist Plus app.
Once added, your integration is now complete.
Step 2: Enable Wishlist Reminder Trigger
Navigate to the Marketing tab in Wishlist Plus.
Locate Wishlist Reminder and click Turn On.
Important: Turning on wishlist reminder will only trigger an event to Omnisend from the Wishlist Plus app. To actually send out an email to the shopper, an automation needs to be created on Omnisend.
Similarly, you can turn on the other features such as Price Drop, Back in Stock, Low stock, and Save for Later reminder too.
Step 3: Set Up Wishlist Reminder Workflow in Omnisend
Now that you’ve set up the Wishlist app to start sending events to Omnisend, the next step is to configure automation workflows in Omnisend to consume these events and send targeted email or SMS messages to your shoppers.
Log in to your Omnisend account and go to Automations.
Click Create Workflow → Create from Scratch.
Under Trigger, select Swym-addedtowishlist.
(Optional) Add Trigger Filters to refine your workflow.
Drag in an Email block and configure:
Subject Line
Sender Name & Email
Email content and branding
Display Wishlist Products in the Email
Click Edit Email and drag a Dynamic Product Block into the email.
Use these Swym-specific data properties:
Image: [[item.ImageURL]]
Product Name: [[item.ProductName]]
Product Page Link: [[item.ProductURL]]
Tip: Link both the image and product name to [[item.ProductURL]] so each item takes the shopper back to its PDP (product detail page).
Swym Trigger Reference Table
Trigger Name | Description |
Swym-addedtowishlist | Sends a reminder email when a shopper adds items to the Wishlist but doesn’t purchase within a set timeframe (default: 24 hours). |
Swym-addedtosfl | Sends a Save for Later reminder when a shopper doesn’t purchase saved items in the set timeframe. |
Swym-pricedrop | Notifies when a wishlisted or saved product’s price drops. |
Swym-backinstock | Alerts when a previously out-of-stock product becomes available again. |
Swym-lowstock | Notifies shoppers that a wishlisted or saved product is running low in stock. |
Swym-digest-wishlist-sfl-actions | Digest summary of wishlist or save-for-later actions over a period. |
Swym-emailmyfaves | Triggered when a shopper shares their wishlist via email. |
Step 4: Test the Wishlist Reminder Setup
Go to Integration → Omnisend → Manage Integration.
Use the Send Test Trigger to simulate a wishlist event.
Check your Omnisend workflow to ensure it activates correctly and the email design renders as expected.
Once your Wishlist Reminder workflow is up and running, you can follow a similar flow to set up additional workflows for:
Save for Later Reminder (Swym-addedtosfl)
Price Drop Alert (Swym-pricedrop)
Back in Stock Alert (Swym-backinstock)
Low Stock Alert (Swym-lowstock)
These triggers work the same way—enable them in the Marketing tab of Wishlist Plus and then build matching workflows in Omnisend using the respective Swym trigger events.
