Accessing the Email Editor

  1. From your app dashboard, open the Marketing tab.

  2. Select the email alert you want to update (e.g., “Back in Stock Alerts”).

  3. You will see the default email template with the options:

    • Customize

    • Send Test Email

  4. Click Customize to open the Email Editor.

If you don’t see a customizable template, you must switch to the new customizable template to be able to edit the email content directly within the UI.

Please Note: Once you switch to the new customizable template, you will not be able to revert back to the old template. If you do not see the option to switch, contact [email protected] for assistance.

FAQs: Language Customization

1. Does Swym automatically translate email content into different languages?

No. Swym does not provide automatic translations. Merchants need to manually translate their email copy using an external tool or their own localized content, and then paste it into the Email Editor.

2. Can I use any language in Swym email templates?

Yes. You can use any language (including French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Japanese, etc.). The Email Editor supports all standard Unicode characters, so non-English scripts work without issues.

3. Will switching to the new customizable template affect my existing email?

Yes. Once you switch to the new customizable template, you cannot revert back to the old template. Your existing alert will now use the new editor going forward.

4. I don’t see the option to customize or switch templates. Why?

If you don’t see the customizable template or Switch Template option, your alert may still be using an older template or may not be enabled for customization. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.

5. Can I edit subject lines as well as email body content?

Yes. Subject lines can also be edited within the Email Editor, allowing you to localize or rewrite them to match your brand tone and language.

6. Can I preview how the translated email will look before sending it to shoppers?

Absolutely. Use Send Test Email to preview the updated email in your inbox and verify formatting, language, and overall appearance before publishing.

7. Do I need technical knowledge or code to edit email content?

No. All edits are done directly through the visual Email Editor. No HTML or coding knowledge is required.

8. Can I format translated content (bold, lists, alignment)?

Yes. The Email Editor includes formatting tools such as bold, italics, text alignment, colors, and bullet or numbered lists, which work across all languages.
