Email Template Customization for Swym's Default Sender

This guide explains how to use the built-in Email Editor to customize your automated email alerts. This feature allows you to control sender details, subject lines, and email content (text, colors, logos) to ensure every alert matches your store's brand.

Pre-requisite

Before you start: If you installed before October 31, 2025, you must contact [email protected] to have the new templates enabled for your account.

How to Access the Email Editor

  1. From your app dashboard, go to the Marketing tab.

  2. Navigate to the specific alert you wish to customize (e.g., "Back in Stock Alerts").

  3. You will see the default email template with two buttons: "Customize" and "Send Test Email".

  4. Click the "Customize" button.

This will open the Email Editor.

Using the Email Editor

The Email Editor is split into two main sections: the Side Panel (right) and the Template Editor (left), which includes a live preview.

1. Editing Sender Details (Side Panel)

Use the right-side panel to manage all email sender settings:

  • Sender Name: Set the name recipients will see (e.g., “Your Store Name”).

  • Sender Email: The address from which the alert is sent.

  • Reply-to Address: The email where customer replies should go.

  • Subject Line: Customize the subject line for this specific alert.

2. Editing Email Content (Template Editor)

Use the left-side editor to update your email content and preview changes instantly:

  • Content Editor: Click directly on the email preview to edit text.

  • Style Controls: Format your content using bold, italics, text colors, highlights, bullet points, and numbered lists.

  • Live Preview: Your template refreshes in real time as you make updates.

Saving and Testing Your Template

  1. Saving: Once you are satisfied with the preview, click the 'Save' button in the modal.

  2. Testing: We recommend using the "Send Test Email" button to send a preview to your inbox before publishing.

Using Partner Email Service Providers (ESPs)

If you require more advanced control over your email customer journeys, you can use one of our partner ESP integrations.

Please Note: If you connect one of the integrations below, it will override the Built-in Email Sender. You will not see the "Customize" button, and all your email templates must be managed from your ESP's platform.
