What it is
Wishlist Plus can show shoppers a Continue with Shop button wherever your storefront asks them to log in to save a wishlist. Shoppers who already use the Shop app sign in with one tap. No password to type.
This does not replace your customer accounts. It is an additional, faster path for shoppers who already have a Shop account. Your standard login is unchanged and is always available.
What you need to do
Nothing. Sign in with Shop is on by default for all Wishlist Plus stores. There is no setting to turn it on.
What shoppers see
Wishlist Plus loads Shopify's official Shop SDK in the background.
The SDK checks whether the shopper's browser is already signed in to a Shop account.
If it is, the Continue with Shop button appears. One tap signs the shopper in without leaving the page.
If it is not, or the SDK cannot load, your store's standard login link appears instead, exactly as before.
Shoppers never see a broken or empty button.
A shopper who is not a recognized Shop user sees your standard Login to Save button.
Where it appears
Login reminder toast. The prompt shown to a guest shopper after they save their third and fifth item, reminding them to log in so their wishlist is kept.
The reminder toast for a recognized Shop user.
The same toast for everyone else.
Wishlist login prompt. The prompt inside the wishlist itself, shown once the wishlist has items and the shopper is not logged in. This appears in your drawer, modal, or page section, depending on the wishlist layout you have configured.
The wishlist login prompt for a recognized Shop user.
Turning it off
In the login reminder toast: turn off the login nudge in Shopify Admin → Wishlist Plus → Configurations → Shopper Save & Share Options → Login nudge. Turning off the nudge removes the whole reminder, including the Shop button in it. See the Login nudge article for full detail on that setting.
In the wishlist login prompt: there is currently no setting to turn this off. Shoppers who are recognized Shop users will see the Continue with Shop button in the wishlist login prompt. If you need this changed for your store, contact Swym Support and we can check the setting for your store.
FAQ
Does this replace our customer accounts? No. Your existing login and account system is unchanged, and it is the fallback for every shopper who is not a recognized Shop user.
Does this work on our theme? Yes. Sign in with Shop does not read or modify your theme's login markup. It renders inside Wishlist Plus's own components and loads through Shopify's SDK rather than a theme template, so it does not depend on your theme's structure or class names.
We have a customized login flow. Is anything at risk? No. The fallback login link uses the same login URL your theme uses. Nothing attaches to your login form or changes where a shopper lands after signing in.
What data does this share? Sign-in is handled entirely by Shopify's own Shop SDK, the same one Shopify provides for Shop login elsewhere. Swym does not receive shopper credentials.
