Header Menu Icon
This option adds a wishlist icon directly to your store's header menu, typically positioned next to the cart icon.
Out-of-the-Box Support: This feature works automatically with many popular themes.
Unsupported Themes: If you see a banner in your dashboard indicating your theme is not supported, you may need to follow the instructions in our help article to add the icon manually. We're continuously working to expand our theme support.
Floating Button
The Floating Button is a great option as it works out of the box with all Shopify themes. It's a persistent icon that floats on the page, always accessible to your customers.
Customization: You can position the button to be at the bottom-left, bottom-right, left, or right of the screen.
Important Note: Be mindful of other elements on your store, such as chat bubbles or cookie consent banners, that may already occupy the same space. Choose a placement that avoids overlap to ensure both elements are fully functional.
Navigation Menu Item
This option adds "Wishlist" as a text link in one of your store's navigation menus. This requires a quick, manual setup in your Shopify admin. Unlike the header menu icon, the navigation menu item is a labeled text link that takes the shopper to the Wishlist page.
From your Shopify admin, go to Content > Menus.
Select the menu where you would like to add the Wishlist link (e.g., Main menu or Footer menu).
Click Add menu item.
For the Name, enter a label like
Wishlist
.For the Link, enter
#swym-wishlist
.
If you wish to create a completely custom launch point and hide the ones injected by the app, as a workaround, you can enable the Navigation Menu item option in your Wishlist Plus app dashboard. This allows you to add your own custom element and link it to #swym-wishlist
.
